Zeron 100 is developed for use in aggressive environments where a combination of high strength and superior corrosion resistance is required. It has a balanced two phase (~50% austenite / ~50% ferrite) microstructure, achieved through solution annealing and water quenching, no precipitation hardening or ageing treatment is used or permitted. DIN 1.4501 Studs are known for excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and brines.
Zeron 100 F55 Hex Bolts can be used for continuous service above 300°C (572°F). Copper in it makes is suitable choice in sulfuric and other non oxidising acids. Alloy 100 Washer contains 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel and 3–5% molybdenum, and have pitting resistance of upto 40.
